Mindpearl, award winning international contact centre outsourcer, recently hosted a delegation led by Australia’s Deputy High Commissioner to Fiji, Karinda D’Aloisio at their facilities in Suva, Fiji. Mindpearl was the first international outsourcer in Suva, Fiji when they opened in 2009. Today, Mindpearl supports 14 International clients across numerous industry verticals from this location.

The meeting was a courtesy call focused on strengthening engagement and cooperation. Ms D’Aloisio was accompanied by Mr. James Gerard Smith, First Secretary of Development Cooperation: Australia. The visitors were given a tour of Mindpearl’s state of the art facility led by William Pattison, Mindpearl’s CEO, who thanked the delegation for the visit.

From late 2013, the Australian Government announced a new policy of enhanced engagement with Fiji centred on increased cooperation and stronger political and economic relations. Since then, there has been growing momentum in the bilateral relationship and a steady stream of high level contact between Australia and Fiji over the course of 2014 and 2015.

Foreign Minister Bishop visited Fiji from 31 October to 1 November 2014 and Minister for International Development and the Pacific, Steven Ciobo, visited Fiji three times in 2015 (in April, November and December). A number of Fijian Ministers visited Australia in 2015, including Prime Minister Bainimarama who attended the Australia Fiji Business Council and Fiji Australia Business Council Joint Forum in Sydney in late October.
